Project Rationale
The second item I revised was our project rationale. I felt that our rationale was too simple. I think we should have used more examples of options, ideas, and themes available with College Care.
Original Project Rationale Text
This service will be useful to families who want to give their students a personal gift. College Care can supply products that would not necessarily be able to be mailed, and support businesses in the St. Charles area. By creating a PowerPoint, we are giving potential customers more information on why the product would be useful for them. We will solve the problem of advertising our product.
Revised Project Rationale
This service will be useful to families who want to give their students a personal gift. College care can supply products that would not necessarily be mailed, and would support businesses in the St. Charles Area. Below are some options, ideas, and themes available with College Care:
Customization Options:
College Care packages can be personalized based on preferences, dietary restrictions, or specific needs.
Include a personal note or message option in each package, adding a personal touch that can make a significant emotional impact.
Themed Packages:
Create themed packages for different occasions, needs, or interests. For example, "Exam Survival Kit," "Birthday Celebration," "Wellness Booster," or "Homesick Cure."
Themes could also be aligned with seasons, festivals, or significant college events.
Local and Artisan Products:
Include products from local businesses or artisans near the college. This not only supports local communities but also introduces students to unique, locally-sourced items they might not find elsewhere.
Healthy and Nutritional Focus:
Emphasize healthy and nutritional options, catering to students who are health-conscious or looking for better eating habits.
Include items like organic snacks, nutritional supplements, or health-focused meal kits.
Educational and Productivity Tools:
Add educational tools or productivity aids, such as planners, motivational books, study guides, or even subscriptions to educational platforms.
This approach can help students in their academic pursuits and personal development.
Entertainment and Relaxation:
Incorporate items for relaxation and stress relief, like stress balls, aromatherapy products, or leisure reading materials.
Consider adding entertainment items like puzzles, board games, or streaming service gift cards.
Sustainability:
Focus on eco-friendly and sustainable products. This could include items like reusable water bottles, eco-friendly personal care products, or sustainably sourced snacks.
Use environmentally friendly packaging and encourage recycling.
Technology and Gadgets:
Include useful tech gadgets or accessories that can be beneficial for a college student. For example, portable chargers, USB drives, or ergonomic laptop stands.
Offer tech-based services like subscription-based study apps or digital gift cards.
Fitness and Sports:
For students interested in fitness or sports, include items like resistance bands, hydration supplements, or sportswear accessories.
Collaborate with local gyms or fitness centers to offer trial memberships or discounts.
Cultural and International Items:
For international students or those interested in different cultures, include items that reflect different cultural heritages or international snacks.
